欣闻《大风敦煌——张卫平中国画作品展》将在德国柏林中国文化中心举办，我向他表示热烈的祝贺，卫平是在中国西北土生土长起来的当代画家，他的绘画作品呈现和描绘的也是丝绸之路独特的地域风貌与西北少数民族风情为精神内涵的现实主义题材，从自身的审美角度和绘画语言展现了西北人民对美好生活的向往和追求。

卫平自担任甘肃省美协副主席以来，在投身协会工作之余，坚持艺术创作，立足传统、开创新风、直面生活，从无数次写生素材中提炼绘画意境，锤炼笔墨语言，并融会糅合不同画种的优点，形成了个性鲜明的艺术风格。在其五十余年的艺术实践中，作品里无论表现的雪山、高原、牦牛、经幡、人物，还是规模浩荡的佛教节日盛典，都散发出浓郁的地域风味，作品多次参加全国及省市展览并获奖。近几年来，卫平拓展探索研究的敦煌文化元素的系列作品，传承了北魏时期敦煌壁画粗犷的绘画风格，强调线条的律动感，同时取法北周时代的壁画构图特色和隋唐壁画的色彩特征，以浓重的色彩反映厚重沧桑的历史感和神秘感，在构图与创意上，将飞天与佛像置于同一作品中，佛像宝象庄严，飞天玉带当风，各呈美姿，实现了浪漫主义与现实主义思想的有机统一。

这次展出的60幅力作，是作者多年来创作的精品，是画家艺术探索历程的阶段性总结，这次在德国柏林展出，是画家作品展示给世界人民的一次难得机会，对绘画创作的拓展研究具有重要的意义，同时也加强了中德两国文化艺术的交流和互鉴。

张卫平，字田月，男，生于1953年，甘肃临洮人。

毕业于西北民族学院美术系，中国艺术研究院研究生院。

现为中国美术家协会会员，甘肃省美术家协会副主席、国家一级美术师、甘肃省宣传文化系统首批拔尖创新人才、甘肃省宣传文化系统“四个一批”人才、中国艺术研究院杜滋龄工作室首届访问学者、北京大风敦煌画院院长、青岛理工大学艺术学院客座教授。

作品《远古的辉煌》、《红军走过的地方》获文化部第八届、十二届群星奖；《流动的山脉》入选第八届全国美展；《五月阳婆》获中国美协纪念延座讲话60周年全国美展优秀作品奖；《陇山雪早》入选中国美协第十五次新人新作展；《黄河雪早》入选第三届中国油画展；作品入选第二届、第五届中国美协会员中国画精品展；《翻越夹金山》入选建军八十周年全国美展；《榜罗会议》入选甘肃省重大革命历史题材美术作品展；获文化部第七届“文华奖”；获甘肃省政府一、三、四届敦煌文艺奖；多次荣获甘肃省美展一、二等奖。

在北京、上海、天津、广东、山东、安徽、扬州、青岛、兰州等地多次举办个展。

作品多次入选文化部出国艺术交流展，在日本、巴西、俄罗斯、加拿大、美国、英国、印度、叙利亚等国展出。

作品发表于《国画家》、《美术》、《美术报》、《中国书画报》等国家级专业核心期刊并出版有《张卫平》美术作品个人专辑多部。    ZhangWeiping, with zi Tian Yue, was born in 1953, in Lintao, GansuProvince, graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Northwest University forNationalities, and got his Master’s degree in Chinese National Academy of Arts.He is one of the Chinese National First-Class Artists, one of the TopInnovative Talents of Gansu Propaganda and Cultural Institutions, a member of theChinese Artists Association, a visiting scholar of the Du Ziling Studio of theChinese National Academy of Arts, a visiting professor of Qingdao University ofTechnology, the director of Dafeng Dunhuang Academy of Painting, and currentlythe Vice-Chairman of Gansu Artists Association.

  His works“Ancient glory” and “Where the Red Army has been”  won the eighth and twelfth “Stars Award” bythe Ministry of Culture,“Moving mountains” was selected for the Eighth NationalArt Exhibition, “Sunny slop in May” won the National Art Exhibition Award bythe Chinese Artists Association to commemorate the 60th anniversary of theYan’an Forum, “Early snow in Longshan Mountain” was selected for the 15th NewArtists Exhibition by China Artists Association, also selected for the secondand fifth Chinese Painting Exhibitions of Excellent Works among members ofChinese Artists Association, “Early snow of The Yellow River” was selected forthe third Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition, “Climb the Jiajin Mountain” wasselected for the Chinese National Art Exhibition for Eightieth Anniversary ofthe people’s Liberation Army, “The conference in Bangluo town” was selected forArt Exhibition of Significant Revolutionary Events in Gansu. He has won thefirst, third, and fourth Dunhuang Literature and Art Award by Gansu government, and repeatedly won thefirst, second prize by Gansu Art Exhibition.

  Exhibitionsof his paintings have been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Shandong, Xinjiang, Henan, Yangzhou, Qingdaoand so on. Lost of his works have been selected by the Ministry of Culture andexhibited in Brazil, Russia, Canada, USA, Japan, UK, India, Syria and soon. 

         Lot ofhis works and articles have been published in Chinese high level professionaljournals and newspapers, such as TraditionalChinese Painter, Art Magazine,China Art Weekly, Traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy and so on, andmany albums of his paintings, named Zhang Weiping, have been published.
